I did another peel on Friday, and it seemed to burn in pretty good, see? (this pic is from Friday night) Today is Sunday and it doesn't really hurt any more. I think I'm getting used to it. It did sting pretty good after the 6 minutes. I didn't clean my leg with alcohol before doing this peel, so it doesn't seem to have burned in as bad. The picture above is pretty frightning, but it really didn't hurt that bad. After about a half hour, it didn't look as bad either.

Not too bad, actually

Here it is 2 days since the last post, and it has turned into a nasty "sunburn". I think this is the perfect amount of time for the TCA to be on the skin. If this were anywhere else on the body, it might be a different story. On the leg it doesn't hurt too much, but I could imagine if this were on my face, it would totally suck!


I have a freind who had a TCA peel on her face to reduce acne scars, and her description of the discomfort seemed pretty unpleasant as I recall.

I think I left it on too long!

I applied the next peel like I said I was going to, but this time I kept the area soaked in a puddle of TCA for almost 6 minutes, and it was burning like an SOB, then I rinsed it off and the skin turned white:

The peel before this one, I felt that I did not leave the TCA on long enough and that it didn't peel very much. I think I over compensated!! We'll see how this baby heals. I'm off to put on some Neosporin so it doesn't get infected.

It's been over a month, and I'm not sure how much different the tatoo really is. It looks a little faded, but hard to tell for sure. Here is a pic of applying the 3rd peel:

I'm doing another peel today (even though it's been only 2 weeks) because the skin has heeled so well. Looks like the tattoo is fading a little!
